Peter Carr

Peter Carr is a freelance photographer. He was born in Wales in the rather late 70’s, however he has lived near Liverpool all his life. He had his first taste of photography at the age of 10 when he was on a one day course where he photographed the local town and developed his exposed film in the darkroom. Due to film costs he never persued it as a hobby. He went to school, then to 6th form and finally on to university. He graduated with a degree in Software Engineering. His interest in web design lead him to learn Photoshop and from there he expanded his creative horizons. He bought a digital camera, and then a DSLR with a bag of lenses. By the time he was a professional web designer he then promptly quit to become a professional photographer.

He specializes in documenting people, exploring urban environments and relaxes with local landscapes. His work has been exhibited in various galleries including Tate Liverpool, and the Open Eye Gallery. He has also been published in magazines worldwide including Professional Photographer and JPGMag. His job, and life, takes him to places he would never normally go. He photographs people he would never normally meet. Always grateful for these opportunities, photography will never be just a job.
